You sit face to face with another team trying to hunt down their submarine before they sink yours. You have specific roles like captain or engineer and play in real time with dry erase markers. The room gets incredibly loud as you shout coordinates and track systems breaking down. It requires a lot of focus and can be quite stressful in a good way. You absolutely need exactly eight people to get the proper experience. It feels entirely different from anything else in a board game box.
