You play as a seventeenth century farmer trying to grow crops and feed your family. You place wooden workers on a central board to gather wood or plow fields. The tension comes from the constant threat of starvation during harvest phases. You always have five things you need to do but only time to do two. The card drafting adds a lot of replay value to the basic puzzle. It is notoriously punishing for new players who make early mistakes. A true classic of the worker placement genre.
